Quiet Day
Please note that we will not be running Quiet Days until further notice due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Over the coming year we are setting aside a number of Fridays to encourage and enable others to connect with God. Each day will begin at 10am with a short chapel service, followed by two further services at 12 noon and 3pm. These optional services are designed to provide you with items to reflect on, however you may wish to spend the day in quiet contemplation instead. Services will be led by College Staff and other invited guests.
You are encouraged to spend the day as you please, walking around the grounds and wood, reflecting in the chapel, enjoying a coffee in the café or sitting quietly. You will be given a study bedroom for the day, which you can use as your own quiet space.
The day is open to all, whether you have been to Spurgeon’s many times, or have never been here before. We invite you to come and journey with us as we seek to put ‘first things first’ and draw nearer to God.
The cost of the day is £25 including hot drinks. Lunch can be purchased separately from the college cafe* or you may bring your own food if you prefer.
