Making the Bible accessible and understandable were Martin Selman's twin aims and many students will testify to catching their enthusiasm for the Scriptures from him. In this book these twin aims are evident as Martin helps us to interpret and understand the prophets. The prophets were primarily speakers of God's word and for that reason alone they are ideal people for preachers to get to grips with. Their message still speaks loud and clear, despite the gulf that separates our world from theirs.
